Responsibilities:

  • Perform dental hygiene procedures, including cleaning, scaling, and polishing teeth 
  • Take and develop dental x-rays
  • Assess patients' oral health and provide appropriate treatment recommendations 
  • Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and preventive care 
  • Administer local anesthesia and nitrous oxide as needed 
  • Assist the dentist during procedures, including charting and documenting patient information 
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
  • Follow strict infection control protocols and maintain aseptic technique 
  • Provide dental care to pediatric patients, ensuring a comfortable and positive experience

Qualifications:

  • Valid dental hygiene license in Indiana 
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Dental Hygiene from an accredited program 
  • Proficiency in using dental software for medical records management (e.g., CAD) 
  • Strong knowledge of dental anatomy, oral health conditions, and treatment options 
  • Experience in dental assisting is a plus 
  • Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and ability to maintain patient confidentiality 
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written 
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
