Anchor Health Homecare Services is excited to announce a full-time job opening for a PCA (Personal Care Assistant) Family Caregiver. This opportunity is ideal for someone passionate about providing compassionate and dedicated care to family members in need. This is not a remote position, and the successful candidate will be working directly from the homes of clients, ensuring personalized and attentive care.

As a PCA Family Caregiver, you will have the unique opportunity to professionally care for your family members or close friends who require assistance due to disabilities or chronic conditions. This role not only strengthens your caregiving skills but also allows you to contribute meaningfully to the everyday life of someone close to you. Through state Medicaid programs, our agency provides necessary training and certifications to help empower you to deliver quality care effectively.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Administer daily care needs based on the personalized care plan.
  • Assist with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Monitor and report significant health changes to the supervising nurse or coordinator.
  • Provide companionship to increase the comfort and mental well-being of the client.
  • Assist in maintaining a healthy and safe home environment.
  • Help with mobility and physical therapies as prescribed.
  • Manage medication as directed by the healthcare provider.
  • Prepare and serve meals according to dietary needs and preferences.
  • Keep accurate records of the client’s condition, activities, and progress.
  • Coordinate with healthcare professionals to optimize the care plan.
  • Support in the application and management of Medicaid and other relevant programs.

Requirements

  • Must be a close family friend, or a relative such as a sibling, grandchild, cousin, niece/nephew, or in-law (brother-in-law/sister-in-law); not eligible are spouse, son/daughter, son-/daughter-in-law, or legal guardian.
  • No previous experience necessary; free same-day PCA certification provided by Anchor Health Homecare Services.
  • Flexibility in scheduling with options for full-time or part-time hours.
  • Capability to perform physical tasks involved in caregiving.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with clients and health care teams.
  • Must be at least 18 years old and legally authorized to work in the United States.
  • Ability to keep organized and detailed records.
  • Commitment to the ethics and confidentiality requirements of caregiving.
  • Willingness to undergo a background check and other screening processes.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation may be required based on the client's location.
