Golden Grove Dental is excited to announce an opening for a dedicated and skilled Dental Front Office Coordinator to join our professional team. This full-time position is based in our state-of-the-art dental facility, which is equipped with the latest in dental technology including digital radiographs, intra-oral cameras, Open Dental software, and electronic records. Our well-established, two-doctor private practice is set in a beautifully designed office where patient care is at the forefront of our operations.

This role is ideal for an outgoing, friendly, and highly organized individual who thrives in a low-stress, positive work environment. As a Dental Front Office Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in making a positive difference for our patients and maintaining an efficient front office workflow. This position is not remote, ensuring that our front office team member can fully engage with patients and staff in a dynamic practice setting.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional customer service to all patients and visitors.
  • Manage patient appointments, confirming upcoming appointments and rescheduling as needed.
  • Verify and update patient insurance information.
  • Process insurance claims and follow up on reimbursements.
  • Handle billing and payment processing.
  • Participate in treatment planning and financial discussions with patients.
  • Maintain patient records with accuracy and confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA standards.
  • Communicate effectively with dental staff and specialists to ensure optimal patient care.
  • Assist in the management of office supplies and inventory control.
  • Help resolve patient issues and concerns with professionalism and empathy.
  • Facilitate office marketing and patient engagement activities.
  • Uphold the practice’s policies and contribute to the team’s efforts to improve office procedures.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a dental office or similar healthcare setting.
  • Strong knowledge of dental insurance processes, particularly within a PPO practice.
  • Proficiency in using dental software systems, preferably Open Dental.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills; must be a "people" person.
  • A positive work ethic and a great attitude.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to multi-task effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Self-motivated and a dedicated team player.
  • Ability to handle financial discussions and plan treatments with patients sensitively and professionally.
  • Flexibility to work a full-time schedule, 5 days per week, to accommodate practice needs.
  • Desire to make a positive difference in the lives of patients.
