Your Dental Story is excited to announce an opening for a Full-Time Dental Assistant position. We are a dedicated team serving the Berkeley/Oakland area for over four decades, committed to excellence in dental care and patient satisfaction. This position is on-site and not eligible for remote work, ensuring you'll be directly contributing to the hands-on care that our patients appreciate and value.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Setting up and breaking down treatment rooms before and after procedures.
- Taking high-quality radiographs as required.
- Sterilizing and maintaining dental instruments and equipment.
- Assisting with various dental procedures which include, but are not limited to, fillings, crowns, root canals, intraoral scanning, and placing Invisalign buttons.
- Ensuring that dental operatories are adequately stocked with necessary supplies.
- Adhering to all safety and sanitation protocols to maintain a clean and safe environment for all.
- Supporting dental specialists in various treatments as needed.
- Recording and updating patient treatment records as needed.
- Maintaining a compassionate and efficient clinical environment.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Dental Assistant preferred but not strictly necessary.
- Familiarity with dental instruments and sterilization methods.
- Understanding of health & safety regulations.
- Ability to perform regulated non-surgical tasks like taking radiographs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Compassionate and able to handle patients with care and respect.
- Self-motivated with the capability to multitask effectively.
- Strict punctuality and reliability.
- Friendly demeanor and open to coaching and professional development.
- Certification or associate degree in an accredited dental assistance program.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work Monday to Thursday from 8 am to 5 pm, and Fridays from 8 am to 1 pm.
