Texas Gulf Recycling, a leader in the regional recycling industry, is excited to announce the availability of a full-time position for an Operations Manager. This role, critical to our daily operations, is designed for a robust individual who thrives in managing complex operational systems and leads with both precision and vision. As an Operations Manager, you will be stationed at our main facility, coordinating closely with various personnel to ensure operational excellence across our processes. Please be aware that this position is not eligible for remote work.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with safety and OSHA regulations by implementing measures to maintain a safe work environment.
- Facilitates clear communication channels to ensure effective coordination and collaboration amongst team members.
- Leads and shapes active engagement in daily safety meetings.
- Coordinating the daily workflow to ensure efficient and timely processing of waste and commodities.
- Provides effective leadership and support to ensure cohesive and high-performance teams.
- Overseeing the operation and maintenance of trucks and heavy equipment.
- Addresses and resolves issues that may arise during daily operations while implementing procedures to minimize consistent problems.
- Coordinates and provides proper training to teams on safety protocols and equipment operations.
- Creates and generates reports on KPI illustrating operational performance, process material rate, and other relevant metrics for management review.
- Resource allocation: Efficiently allocating personnel, equipment, and resources to optimize processes.
Requirements
- Ability to lead and inspire a team toward safe and operational excellence.
- Exhibits a strong knowledge in safety and OSHA regulations, including implementation of maintaining a secure work environment.
- Understanding and proficiency in heavy equipment including but not limited to operation and maintenance.
- Demonstrates a strong knowledge of small engine operations and maintenance (i.e., Lawn mower, pressure washer, etc.).
- Can identify and make use of basic tools (i.e., Hammer, drill, impact, DOT chain etc.).
- Capacity to identify and resolve challenges.
- Capability to train and develop team members on procedures and safety measures.
- Proactive approach in identifying opportunities for improvement in process, operations, and personal optimization.
- Maintains positive relationships with customers and vendors.
- Analytical skills in creating/monitoring KPIs and operating reports.
