Duties and Responsibilities

• Develop, test, implement, and maintain Java application phases, code, and software.
• Contribute to the overall architecture and design of software applications.
• Identify and analyze user requirements and integrate them into the application design.
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to create synergies and optimize performance.
• Conduct software analysis, programming, testing, and debugging efficiently.
• Ensure the design is robust, scalable, and complies with enterprise standards.
• Provide recommendations for continuous improvement of development practices.
• Manage application development lifecycle and ensure timely delivery of projects.
• Participate in peer-reviews of solution designs and related code packages.
• Document and maintain software functionalities.
• Monitor application performance metrics and ensure compliance with security and data protection regulations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven hands-on Software Development experience in Java.
• Proficient with Java development frameworks such as Spring or Hibernate.
• Extensive background in building scalable and high-performance distributed systems.
• Strong understanding of JVM, its limitations, weaknesses, and workarounds.
• Experience with Object-Oriented Design (OOD).
• Superb analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience in developing web applications utilizing JAVA Enterprise Edition (J2EE).
• Thorough knowledge of HTML, JavaScript, jQuery, XML, and Web Services (SOAP, REST).
• Understanding of database management systems, SQL, and ORM technologies (JPA2, Hibernate).
• Ability to work in a collaborative team environment and adapt to dynamically evolving requirements.
• Excellent communication and project management skills.
• Knowledge of Agile methodologies, especially Scrum or Kanban.
