  • This position is Five days per week , Monday thru Friday, 6pm-10pm 

Peace of Mind Facility and Home Services is excited to announce a job opening for a Part-Time Floor Technician in the heart of Downtown Tampa, FL. This position offers the opportunity to join our dedicated team in maintaining and enhancing the appearance of polished concrete floors across various high-traffic facilities. As this is a hands-on, on-site position, please note that this is not a remote job. The selected candidate will play a crucial role in upholding our commitment to delivering impeccable environmental services.

The role is ideally suited for candidates who are diligent, have a keen eye for detail, and possess a strong work ethic. We emphasize a spirit of excellence in all our operations, and the Floor Technician will be instrumental in achieving our service standards. Serving under our Facility Maintenance division, this part-time position requires evening availability and some weekend work to accommodate our operations schedule and client needs.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Perform routine and in-depth maintenance of polished concrete flooring throughout assigned facilities.
  • Operate specialized floor care equipment including auto-scrubbers, polishers, and vacuum systems.
  • Apply sealers and fillers as necessary, ensuring compliance with specifications and high standards of quality.
  • Assess the condition of the floors regularly to determine the appropriate maintenance activities and schedules.
  • Report any equipment malfunctions to facilities management promptly to ensure timely repairs and minimal downtime.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering strictly to health and safety regulations.
  • Coordinate with the facilities management team to manage supplies and equipment needed for floor maintenance tasks.
  • Assist in the development of maintenance protocols to enhance floor longevity and appearance.
  • Engage in ongoing training and development activities to stay current with the latest industry practices and innovations in floor care technology.
  • Participate actively in team meetings and provide feedback on floor care challenges and solutions.

Requirements

  • Prior experience in polished concrete floor maintenance is essential.
  • Familiarity with the latest floor care technology, including auto-scrubbers, polishers, and diamond pad systems.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, with up to 4 hours of continuous activity.
  • Must successfully pass a comprehensive background check.
  • Dependable, punctual, and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
  • Exhibit a professional demeanor and a strong commitment to delivering quality results.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, to ensure clear coordination and documentation of work activities.
  • Flexibility to work evenings and some weekends as required by the job schedule.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing environments and tasks.
