Job Title: Tree Climber
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Tree Climber to join our team at Washington Tree Services. As a Tree Climber, you will be responsible for climbing and working on trees to perform maintenance services such as pruning, trimming, removals, and other tree care activities. Key Responsibilities:
- Climb and work on trees using proper techniques and safety equipment
- Perform tree pruning, trimming, and removal services using hand tools and power equipment
- Inspect trees to identify potential hazards and recommend necessary maintenance or removal
- Use climbing ropes, harnesses, and other safety gear to ensure personal safety and the safety of others
- Work at heights, including in canopies, branches, and trunks, to access all areas of the tree
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment by disposing of debris and equipment properly
- Follow company policies and procedures for climbing, working, and maintaining equipment
- Communicate effectively with team members, dispatchers, and clients to ensure smooth project execution
Requirements:
- 3+ year of experience as a tree climber or arborist in the industry
- ISAR (International Society of Arboriculture) or equivalent certification
- Valid Washington State Driver's License
- Reliable vehicle for transportation to job sites
- Ability to lift, move, and maneuver up to 50 pounds regularly
- Experience with hand tools and power equipment used in tree care, such as pruning saws, loppers, and chainsaws
- Strong physical stamina and ability to work at heights
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
Work Environment:
- Work outdoors in various weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, and snow
- Frequent travel to job sites, which may require long hours on the road
- Ability to work flexible schedules, including evenings and weekends as needed

Certifications and Training:
Washington State certified arborist or equivalent certification (ISAR) preferred OSHA 30-hour HAZARDOS training recommended CPR/First Aid certification a plus
