Please note, this is a part-time position and is not eligible for remote work. Candidates will be expected to work directly from our South Austin location. Duties and Responsibilities
- Conduct initial dental assessments and interpret patient dental records.
- Perform routine dental cleanings and assist in the management of oral diseases.
- Educate patients on maintaining proper oral hygiene and preventive dental care.
- Collaborate with dentists to plan for patient care and treatment for oral health concerns.
- Ensure strict compliance with the office’s hygiene protocols, standards of dental care, and infection control measures.
- Maintain accurate and detailed clinical documentation as per the practice’s requirements.
- Utilize dental radiography equipment safely and effectively according to the established guidelines.
- Provide support and insight into the comprehensive dental care plans tailored to patient needs.
- Recommend products and devices for improved oral health maintenance.
- Stay updated with advancements in dental hygiene practices and technologies to enhance patient care.
Requirements
- Active Texas Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) license.
- Strong communication and patient education skills.
- Experience with Open Dental software preferred.
- Solid understanding of periodontal disease management and hygiene protocols.
- Comprehensive knowledge of infection control standards and clinical documentation requirements.
- Previous experience in a dental office environment preferred.
- Possess a friendly, positive demeanor that fosters a cooperative and collaborative team environment.
- Ability to handle dental instruments and equipment with precision and care.
- Commitment to continuous professional development and learning in dental hygiene and related fields.
Compensation & Benefits
- $60–$65 per hour, based on experience
- Monthly bonus opportunities based on overall office production
- Part-time schedule: 3 days per week
- No evenings or weekends
