We’re looking for a Senior Frontend Software Engineer who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about creating elegant user experiences for web and mobile app platforms. This opportunity requires hands-on experience in frontend engineering and development, with specific focus in React and React Native. You will be responsible for leading implementation of product features, advocating for API designs, and building easy-to-use and stable software solutions that power Ubiety’s latest products.
Basic Requirements:
Proven experience in software engineering, demonstrating an expert level in frontend development.
Experience leading the end-to-end design, development, and delivery of frontend features, ensuring a high-quality user experience.
Fluency in Javascript, with the ability to write clean, efficient, and maintainable code.
Experience with utilizing automated testing in frontend development from unit through UX testing, including Jest, Playwright, Appium, etc
Possess deep familiarity and hands-on experience with React and React Native frameworks, demonstrating the ability to build scalable and responsive user interfaces.
Bonus points for experience with native iOS and/or Android development
Expert understanding of REST APIs and general API design principles, with a keen ability to seamlessly integrate frontend components with backend services.
Experience working with Git and a proven ability to collaborate effectively with other developers, contributing to projects in a team environment.
Responsibilities:
Be a leader on our small, tight team of engineers to design and implement elegant user interfaces and product features
Be the frontend representative during collaboration around feature designs with our Product Team, contributing solutions that enhance the user experience
Utilize user analytics to drive informed design decisions and optimize the interface for better engagement.
Utilize feature flagging to support iterative deployment and controlled feature rollouts.
Collaborate with design to develop and maintain a robust component library using atomic design principles.
Take full ownership of the frontend codebase, ensuring maintainability, scalability, and code quality standards are met.
Spearhead initiatives to increase test coverage and code quality across all of our frontend codebases
Review teammates’ code and respond to teammates’ feedback on your code, being the authority on best practices
Mentor and guide junior engineers, pair programming and unblocking colleagues
Foster and promote a culture of technical excellence
