What You’ll Do
Design, implement, and maintain RESTful APIs supporting IoT device data ingestion and querying
Build and optimize database schemas and queries for scalable storage of data
Develop backend logic to process, analyze, and event-based data to extract signal from noise
Collaborate with frontend, backend, data, and DevOps to deliver end-to-end product features
Write automated tests and contribute to improving code quality and deployment practices
Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize production systems
Participate in sprint planning, code reviews, and team knowledge sharing
Requirements
Must Have:
0–2 years of experience in development or relevant internships/projects
Strong problem-solving skills and passion to learn
Good communication skills and the ability to collaborate in a fast-paced team
Proficiency in at least one backend language (Python, Go, Node.js, Java, etc.)
Strong understanding of data structures, algorithm design, and deductive problem-solving skills
Familiarity with REST API design and development
Basic understanding of relational or NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MongoDB, SQLite) and when to leverage which
Knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git)
Ability to write clean, maintainable, and tested code
Nice to Have
Knowledge of cloud platforms and serverless architectures (AWS, GCP, Azure)
Passion for startups and building products end-to-end
Experience in IoT, embedded systems, or sensor data processing
Exposure to message brokers or streaming platforms (Kafka, MQTT, RabbitMQ)
Familiarity with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
Basic understanding of security best practices for APIs and data
Experience with automated testing frameworks and CI/CD pipelines
