Job Summary:

The Production Manager oversees the production processes to ensure operations are efficient, cost-effective, and meet quality standards. This role involves managing resources, coordinating teams, and implementing strategies to achieve production targets while maintaining a safe and productive work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Production Oversight:

    • Plan, organize, and oversee daily production schedules to meet targets and deadlines.

    • Monitor workflow, production output, and quality standards.

    • Adjust schedules and resources as needed to accommodate changes in demand or operational challenges. 

  • Team Management:

    • Lead and supervise production teams, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations.

    • Motivate staff to achieve productivity and quality goals while fostering a positive work environment.

    • Address and resolve team conflicts or issues effectively.

  • Quality Control:

    • Implement and enforce quality control procedures to ensure products meet specifications.

    • Collaborate with quality control teams to identify and resolve defects or inconsistencies.

  • Process Improvement:

    • Analyze current production processes and identify opportunities for improvement.

    • Introduce lean manufacturing principles, automation, or other efficiency-enhancing methods.

    • Optimize resource allocation to reduce waste and improve output.

  • Safety and Compliance:

    • Ensure adherence to workplace safety standards and regulatory requirements.

    • Conduct regular safety audits and implement corrective actions as needed.

    • Promote a culture of safety among production staff.

  • Communication and Reporting:

    • Serve as a liaison between production teams and upper management.

    • Prepare and present reports on production performance, challenges, and improvements.

    • Communicate effectively with suppliers, vendors, and stakeholders..

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing, engineering, business management, or a related field.

  • 5+ years of experience in production or manufacturing, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.

  • Familiarity with production planning and control processes.

  • Strong leadership and decision-making abilities.

  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills.

Working Conditions:

  • Standing, bending, and lifting for extended periods.

  • The role involves physical activity, including standing, walking, and lifting up to 50 pounds.

  • The working environment includes exposure to varying temperatures and warehouse noise.

Compensation: $55,000 - $65,000
