Job Summary:
The Production Manager oversees the production processes to ensure operations are efficient, cost-effective, and meet quality standards. This role involves managing resources, coordinating teams, and implementing strategies to achieve production targets while maintaining a safe and productive work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Production Oversight:
Plan, organize, and oversee daily production schedules to meet targets and deadlines.
Monitor workflow, production output, and quality standards.
Adjust schedules and resources as needed to accommodate changes in demand or operational challenges.
Team Management:
Lead and supervise production teams, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations.
Motivate staff to achieve productivity and quality goals while fostering a positive work environment.
Address and resolve team conflicts or issues effectively.
Quality Control:
Implement and enforce quality control procedures to ensure products meet specifications.
Collaborate with quality control teams to identify and resolve defects or inconsistencies.
Process Improvement:
Analyze current production processes and identify opportunities for improvement.
Introduce lean manufacturing principles, automation, or other efficiency-enhancing methods.
Optimize resource allocation to reduce waste and improve output.
Safety and Compliance:
Ensure adherence to workplace safety standards and regulatory requirements.
Conduct regular safety audits and implement corrective actions as needed.
Promote a culture of safety among production staff.
Communication and Reporting:
Serve as a liaison between production teams and upper management.
Prepare and present reports on production performance, challenges, and improvements.
Communicate effectively with suppliers, vendors, and stakeholders..
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing, engineering, business management, or a related field.
5+ years of experience in production or manufacturing, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
Familiarity with production planning and control processes.
Strong leadership and decision-making abilities.
Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills.
Working Conditions:
Standing, bending, and lifting for extended periods.
The role involves physical activity, including standing, walking, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
The working environment includes exposure to varying temperatures and warehouse noise.
Compensation: $55,000 - $65,000
