Director, Operational Excellence
Department: Operations
Reports To: VP of Operations
Position Summary
Branded Bills is a premium headwear and accessories brand built on quality craftsmanship, custom design, and an exceptional customer experience. From the moment an order is placed to the moment it lands at a customer’s door, every step matters, and the Operations Director is the person who makes sure those steps happen flawlessly.
You are the bridge between vision and finished product, applying your expertise to navigate the complexities of execution, troubleshoot real-world challenges, and deliver every project with the quality our brand is known for. You own the operational systems and workflows that allow Branded Bills to scale by managing timelines, vendor compliance, inventory processes, and cross-functional coordination. You bring structure to complexity, run disciplined projects end-to-end, and help us solve problems before they become bottlenecks.
If you’re a finisher who takes pride in flawless execution, thrives on getting things done, and knows how to turn a plan into reality through structured project management, this role was made for you.
Key Contributions
- Project Realization: You own the finish line. You lead execution once a strategy is set, managing timelines, resources, and workflows for seamless delivery.
- Project Management Discipline: You run initiatives with clear scope, milestones, owners, and deadlines. You build project plans, track status, manage risks and dependencies, and keep stakeholders informed from kickoff to close-out.
- Process Design & Documentation: You build and standardize workflows, SOPs, and playbooks that replace ad-hoc processes. You map current-state processes, identify friction points, and design streamlined, repeatable solutions.
- Tactical Problem Solving: You apply sharp analytical thinking to identify hurdles and develop creative solutions that keep production and inventory processes running smoothly.
- Cross-Functional Coordination: You partner across Operations, Production, Sales, Finance, and People teams to align timelines, clarify handoffs, and ensure unified execution on shared initiatives.
- Systems & Tools Adoption: You support the rollout and adoption of operational tools (e.g., NetSuite, HCM, SPS), helping teams understand new processes through clear communication, training, and user-friendly documentation.
- Organizational Stability: You manage vendor compliance, essential documentation, and operational records that support business scalability and structure.
- Collaborative Leadership: You act as a central coordinator, fostering communication and supporting a high-energy, high-performance work environment.
- Strategic Mentorship: You provide guidance to the Operations Data Specialist, ensuring their work aligns with broader operational and inventory goals.
