Job Summary:

The Maintenance supports the Warehouse Department by performing general upkeep, repairs, and preventative maintenance tasks for buildings, equipment, and grounds. This role requires basic mechanical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively to maintain a safe and functional environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• General Maintenance and Repairs:

  • Assist in minor repairs to equipment, fixtures, and facilities, including plumbing, and basic electrical systems.

  • Replace light bulbs, filters, and other consumable parts as needed.

• Preventative Maintenance:

  • Support scheduled inspections and routine maintenance tasks to extend the life of equipment and facilities.

  • Report issues requiring significant repairs or replacements to the Director of Warehouse & Facilities.

• Janitorial:

  • Performs general cleaning and janitorial duties in the common areas of the building.

  • Assists in cleaning and sanitizing restrooms and cafeteria.

  • Ensures cleaning and maintenance supplies are stocked.

• Safety and Compliance:

  • Follow safety protocols and ensure tools and equipment are used correctly.

  • Assist in maintaining compliance with local building codes and safety regulations.

• Team Support:

  • Collaborate with the maintenance team to prioritize tasks and complete projects.

  • Respond to maintenance requests and emergencies in a timely manner.

• Inventory and Equipment Management:

• Maintain tools, supplies, and equipment in good working condition.

• Monitor inventory levels and notify the Director of Warehouse & Facilities when replenishment is needed.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; 

• Previous experience in maintenance, handyman work, or related roles (preferred).

• Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems.

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

• Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

• Ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively.

Working Conditions:

• Standing, bending, and lifting for extended periods.

• The role involves physical activity, including standing, walking, and lifting up to 50 pounds.

• The working environment includes exposure to varying temperatures and warehouse noise.
