Dependable Nursing is excited to announce several job openings for Licensed Vocational Nurse's (LVN) throughout beautiful San Diego County. We are seeking dedicated and passionate professionals to join our team in a Part-Time capacity or a Full-Time capacity. Our field positions offer a dynamic work environment where no two days are the same. Please note, this is not a remote job and will require direct patient interactions in the patient's homes.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Administer one-on-one nursing care to ill, injured, or disabled patients within their homes.
  • Monitor patient health and document any progress or changes in their condition.
  • Communicate regularly with registered nurses and doctors on patient status, interventions, and results.
  • Ensure the implementation of care plans set out by the healthcare team to maintain patient health.
  • Provide basic patient care under direction of nursing staff including but not limited to feeding, bathing, dressing, grooming, and moving patients.
  • Prepare and administer injections and prescribed medications as directed by the registered nurse or physician.
  • Operate and monitor medical equipment specific to patient care needs.
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment for all patients to prevent infections and cross-contamination.
  • Educate and update patients and their families on medical treatments and care plans in a comprehensible way.
  • Attend educational workshops; maintain socioprofessional relationships and participate in professional societies to stay updated on industry practices and changes.
  • We have cases ALL throughout San Diego County to include: Mission Valley, La Mesa, Poway, Escondido, Rancho Bernardo, Oceanside, Vista, National City, Otay Mesa, El Cajon, Carlsbad, Chula Vista, and more

Requirements

  • Active California LVN License required.
  • BLS certification must be active and maintained.

  • Part-Time available 2-3 shifts a week (M-Su) - Flexible Scheduling
  • Full-Time available 40 hrs per week (M-Su) 
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively converse with patients and other healthcare professionals.
  • Demonstrate a compassionate and caring demeanor at all times.
  • Capability to function effectively under pressure while maintaining professional decorum.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, possibly including nights and weekends, as needed.
  • Physical ability to lift patients up to 50lbs, bend or stand for prolonged periods, and conduct physical maneuvers necessary in an emergency.
  • A keen eye for detail to ensure patients receive prescribed care without errors.
  • Proven problem-solving skills to assess conditions and implement appropriate intervention.
  • Reliable transportation with a willingness to commute to various locations within San Diego County.


Compensation: Pay is based on employment status (Full-Time or Part-Time) and relevant experience, including working with special needs populations, home health, and pediatrics.
