This role is a Part-Time position, requiring the successful candidate on ensuring that all areas of the surgery center are sterile and ready for use, adhering to both our internal protocols and industry regulations. Duties and Responsibilities

• Thorough cleaning and disinfecting of surgery rooms and adjacent areas following established protocols to prevent infections.
• Use of specialized cleaning agents and equipment to maintain sterile conditions.
• Ensure all surfaces, equipment, and tools are sanitized before and after each surgery to meet healthcare cleanliness standards.
• Proper disposal of biohazard materials in accordance with safety and health regulations.
• Clean and sanitize restrooms, public areas, and employee workspaces within the surgery center.
• Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies, reporting any shortages or issues to management promptly.
• Regularly inspect equipment for any signs of wear and tear, and report the need for repairs.
• Follow all health and safety laws, regulations, and company policies.
• Participate in training sessions and meetings to stay up-to-date with the latest health and safety guidelines.
• Collaborate with other staff members to ensure tasks are completed thoroughly and efficiently.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Previous experience in cleaning or janitorial work preferably within a healthcare or hospital setting.
• Familiarity with hygiene and safety regulations in healthcare facilities.
• Ability to operate or learn to operate cleaning equipment and tools efficiently.
• Physical capacity to stand for long periods, lift heavy objects, and perform repetitive tasks.
• Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
• Demonstrated ability to follow instructions and operate under minimal supervision.
• Strong attention to detail, ensuring all areas meet the cleanliness standards required by a medical facility.
• Commitment to maintaining confidentiality of patient and facility information is a must.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, capable of working as part of a team.
