The Treatment Coordinator is the primary advocate for our patients' oral health journeys. Your mission is to ensure patients fully understand their diagnosed treatment, feel comfortable with the clinical "why," and find a financial pathway to say "yes" to care. You are responsible for managing the transition from the exam chair to the treatment schedule.
Key Responsibilities
- Case Presentation: Conduct private consultations to explain clinical findings using intraoral photos and digital X-rays in layman’s terms.
- Financial Planning: Present transparent cost estimates, explain insurance coverage, and offer third-party financing options (e.g., CareCredit).
- Insurance Navigation: Verify benefits and obtain pre-authorizations to provide patients with "no-surprise" out-of-pocket estimates.
- Follow-up Management: Maintain a "Pending Treatment" pipeline, reaching out to patients who haven't yet committed to their care plans.
- Scheduling: Coordinate complex, multi-visit cases to ensure efficient use of the doctor’s production time.
- Patient Experience: Act as the primary point of contact for patient questions regarding their treatment plan or billing.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum 2+ years in a dental office (Front Office or Dental Assisting preferred).
- Communication: Exceptional verbal and written skills; ability to discuss large financial investments with confidence and tact.
- Technical Savvy: Proficiency with dental software - Open Dental.
- Education: High School Diploma required

Performance Metrics (KPIs)
- Case Acceptance Rate: Percentage of presented treatment plans that are scheduled.
- Production Goals: Meeting monthly practice production targets.
- Pre-collection: Ensuring a high percentage of the patient’s portion is collected at or before the time of service.
Your hours: Monday 7:20am - 3pm, Tuesday - Thursday 7:20am - 5pm. CLOSED FRIDAYS.
Dress code: Business to business casual, jean are acceptable on Thursdays.
