Job Summary
The Site Manager is responsible for overseeing daily cleaning operations across multiple client locations. This role ensures consistent service quality, staff performance, safety compliance, and client satisfaction while managing multiple cleaning teams working varied schedules and shifts. The ideal candidate is highly organized, hands-on, and experienced in managing frontline service teams across multiple sites.
Key Responsibilities
Operations & Service Delivery
- Oversee cleaning operations across multiple client sites to ensure contractual service standards are met or exceeded
- Conduct regular site inspections and quality audits; address deficiencies promptly
- Ensure proper execution of cleaning scopes, schedules, and checklists at each location
- Respond to urgent operational issues, call-outs, and service escalations
Team Leadership & Supervision
- Supervise, coach, and support site supervisors and cleaning staff across multiple locations
- Ensure adequate staffing levels, shift coverage, and attendance
- Participate in hiring, onboarding, training, and performance management of cleaning staff
- Enforce company policies, attendance standards, and dress code requirements
Scheduling & Workforce Management
- Create and manage staff schedules for multiple sites and shifts (day, evening, overnight as applicable)
- Manage timekeeping, payroll submission, and labor cost controls
- Coordinate coverage for absences, vacancies, and special service requests
Quality, Safety & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, safety standards, and company cleaning protocols
- Conduct safety meetings and enforce proper use of equipment and chemicals
- Ensure employees are trained on safety procedures and site-specific requirements
Client Relations & Communication
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients at assigned locations
- Address client concerns, service requests, and feedback professionally and promptly
- Maintain positive client relationships and support contract retention
Inventory & Equipment Management
- Monitor and manage cleaning supplies, equipment, and inventory across sites
- Ensure equipment is maintained, stored properly, and replaced as needed
- Control supply usage and prevent waste or loss
Reporting & Administration
- Complete inspection reports, incident reports, and performance documentation
- Track KPIs such as quality scores, attendance, turnover, and client satisfaction
- Provide regular updates to senior management on site performance
Qualifications & Experience
- High school diploma or GED required; additional education preferred
- 2–5 years of supervisory or management experience in cleaning, janitorial, facilities, or service-based industries
- Mechanically Inclined
- Experienced working with a variety of tools
- Proven experience managing teams across multiple locations
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, nights, and weekends
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Skilled in pressure washing, flooring care, and painting preferred
Physical & Work Requirements
- Ability to travel between multiple sites daily
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 30–40 lbs as needed
- Comfortable working in active cleaning environments
- A criminal background check is required at some client work locations
