Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform dental hygiene services and procedures, including dental prophylaxis, scaling, root planning and sealant application.
 - Educate patients on oral health and preventive care techniques.
 - Maintain accurate patient records and document patient treatment and care accurately.
 - Assist in the assessment and management of oral health conditions, patient screening procedures, and review of health history.
 - Utilize digital radiographic and intra-oral imaging equipment.
 - Administer local anesthetic agents effectively under supervision of the dentist.
 - Engage in office duties to maintain cleanliness and functionality of the dental office equipment and tools.
 - Collaborate with dentists to plan for patient care and treatment options.
 - Contribute to team efforts by accomplishing related tasks as needed to ensure optimal patient service and clinic workflow.
 - Partake in educational workshops to enhance professional and technical knowledge.
 - Ensure compliance with state, federal, and local regulatory laws, and conform to practice protocols.
 
Requirements
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Dental Hygiene from an accredited program.
 - Current dental hygienist license in the state where the job is located.
 - Demonstrable ability to operate advanced dental technology equipment including digital radiographs and intra-oral cameras.
 - Strong understanding of HIPAA and other relevant privacy regulations.
 - Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on patient-care and team collaboration.
 - Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently and effectively in a busy office environment.
 - High attention to detail in all aspects of dental care and office duties.
 - Outstanding organizational and time management skills.
 - Commitment to professional development and maintaining current knowledge in the field of dental hygiene
