The role of the Scheduling Coordinator is crucial in ensuring the smooth operation of our dental office. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing multiple administrative duties associated with patient scheduling and office management. We are seeking an organized, detail-oriented individual who thrives in a dynamic setting and can efficiently handle various tasks to support both patients and dental staff.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and optimize patient scheduling to maximize resource utilization and patient satisfaction.
  • Manage patient check-in and check-out processes, ensuring a smooth flow of patients through the office.
  • Handle a multi-line phone system for scheduling appointments and addressing patient inquiries.
  • Perform patient confirmation and reactivation tasks to maintain an accurate and efficient scheduling system.
  • Oversee over-the-counter collections, ensuring accuracy in transactions and financial interactions with patients.
  • Verify patient insurance coverage and communicate details to patients and dental staff effectively.
  • Create comprehensive treatment plans and present them to patients, providing clear information and responding to their questions.

Requirements

  • Proven experience of 2-3 years in a dental office setting.
  • Proficiency with Dentrix or similar dental office management software.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact positively with patients and staff.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Must have a strong attention to detail and commitment to administrative excellence.
  • Capability to handle sensitive patient information with utmost confidentiality.
  • A positive attitude and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
