We are excited to announce that h/care, a leading provider in the health care industry, is seeking a dedicated and thorough Operations Support Analyst to join our Home Health team. This full-time, on-site position is integral to the smooth functioning of our home health and hospice services, enabling high-quality patient care by supporting critical operational functions. The role demands a proactive individual who enjoys working within structured environments and can handle multiple priorities efficiently to ensure everything from billing to compliance runs seamlessly.

The Operations Support Analyst at VNA of Ohio is pivotal in keeping our home health and hospice operations streamlined. This position offers the unique opportunity to work behind the scenes, ensuring that our billing processes, payroll systems, compliance protocols, and EMR workflows—particularly with HomeCare HomeBase—are maintained to the highest standard. Successful candidates will be key in tracking performance metrics and pre-emptively addressing operational challenges to prevent any escalations.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Monitor and support daily operations within the home health and hospice sectors, focusing on ensuring efficient workflow and patient data management.
  • Implement and oversee effective billing processes tailored to Medicare and Medicaid guidelines and document necessary procedures to ensure compliance.
  • Facilitate payroll processing, ensuring accurate and timely compensation for all staff.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot the EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems, especially HomeCare HomeBase, to streamline healthcare operations and ensure data integrity.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals and administrative staff to identify and solve administrative and operational issues before they become critical.
  • Keep abreast of changes in healthcare regulations and standards, applying them swiftly to practice within the organization.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain standard operating procedures for operational tasks and train relevant teams on these procedures to ensure uniformity and compliance.
  • Track and analyze key performance indicators to report on effectiveness of operational processes and identify areas for improvement.
  • Engage in continuous educational and training opportunities to remain knowledgeable about industry best practices and technological advancements.
  • Provide operational support and expert advice to management for decision making and strategic planning.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.
  • At least 2 years of experience in healthcare operations or administrative support.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and/or Google Sheets.
  • Experience with EMRs required; HomeCare HomeBase strongly preferred.
  • Working knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid billing and documentation standards.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities independently.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced, high-accountability environment.
