Clinical Leadership Meets Business Execution

We are seeking a high-performing Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to assist our Home Health division with the discipline and mindset of a seasoned operator. This is a unique opportunity for a nurse executive who brings both clinical authority and business acumen to the table.

The ideal candidate is an MBA-trained nurse leader with direct P&L experience, a track record of scaling for-profit home health agencies, and the ability to coach, develop, and hold teams accountable to high standards of care and operational performance.

You will not just oversee care—you will help drive margin, market share, quality outcomes, and team culture from the front.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the Clinical P&L: Track and manage direct labor, visit utilization, margins, and care delivery costs to align with organizational targets

  • Lead Clinical Operations: Ensure compliant, efficient delivery of all home health services—timely starts of care, visit productivity, and quality documentation

  • Drive Growth & Expansion: Support census growth initiatives and ensure operational readiness as referral volume scales

  • Build a Winning Team: Recruit, train, and retain nurses, therapists, and support staff who meet productivity and performance expectations

  • Operational Excellence: Monitor and act on KPIs including re-hospitalizations, visit frequency, same-day documentation, and survey readiness

  • Collaborate Across Departments: Partner with intake, sales, compliance, and finance to ensure alignment across clinical and operational functions

  • Lead Through Accountability: Establish clear roles, measurable expectations, and structured performance reviews

  • Serve as a Clinical Executive: Contribute to organizational strategy, financial planning, and leadership initiatives as part of the executive team

What We're Looking For

  • Active RN license in Ohio (required)

  • MBA or equivalent business-focused degree (required or strongly preferred)

  • 3+ years in a clinical leadership role within a Medicare-certified, for-profit home health agency

  • Direct experience managing budgets, staffing models, and clinical P&Ls

  • Knowledge of PDGM, OASIS, CMS quality benchmarks, and EMRs (Homecare Homebase preferred)

  • Executive presence and strong leadership communication skills

  • Clear track record of holding teams to high standards and achieving measurable results
