Dental Hygienist – Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Dental Hygienist to join our growing team. This part-time position offers the opportunity to work in a supportive and professional setting where quality of care is the highest priority. Please note, this is not a remote job position and requires on-site attendance at our Oviedo, FL location.

Responsibilities:

• Perform dental cleanings (prophylaxis, SRP as prescribed)
• Take and interpret dental X-rays
• Conduct periodontal assessments and charting
• Educate patients on oral hygiene, home care, and preventive dentistry
• Assist the dentist with diagnosing oral conditions
• Apply fluoride and sealants as needed
• Maintain accurate and timely patient records
• Follow infection control and sterilization protocols
• Create a positive, calming experience for patients

Qualifications:

• Valid Dental Hygienist license in the state of Florida
• Radiology/X-ray certification
• CPR/BLS certification
• Strong knowledge of periodontal therapy and preventive care
• Excellent communication and patient education skills
• Friendly, professional, and team-oriented attitude
