Why You’ll Love Working Here

If you just finished dental school (or you’re a year or two into practice) and you’re already frustrated by the insurance-driven, high-volume grind that so many offices run on, you’re not alone. Most new dentists don’t get to choose where they end up, and a lot of first jobs feel like survival mode. This one is different. Colorado Bio Dental & Esthetics is a 100% Fee-for-Service biological dental practice in Littleton, CO, built around doing things the right way. No insurance contracts. No cutting corners. Just real relationships with patients who genuinely care about their health and trust you to guide them.

Dr. Popp leads the practice. He was the first U.S. dentist trained by Swiss Dental Solutions; he performs OBI Level 4 bite restorations and is one of only 32 practitioners worldwide trained by Dr. Shahram Ghanaati for guided open wound surgeries. He teaches nationally and has been in practice for over a decade. But what actually matters for you is that he loves to teach. He’s not looking for someone to throw into a chair and figure it out on their own. He wants to mentor someone. If you’re early in your career and want to learn ceramic implants, regenerative treatments, facial esthetics, advanced surgical technique, and how to actually run a successful practice, this is where you’ll get that. The CE allowance is generous, and the hands-on training you’ll receive here would take years to find on your own.

The team is thirteen people, including four assistants who will be supporting you chairside. They’re tight-knit, high-energy, and they genuinely like working together. The vibe is more "we’re building something together" than "clock in and survive the day." You’ll have seven operatories and serious technology at your fingertips: 3D Cone Beam, Itero scanners, SprintRay 3D printers, dual Fotona and Waterlase lasers, and a full bio-PRF setup. You won’t be limited by your tools here.

Littleton is about 20 minutes southwest of Denver, right at the base of the foothills. You get all the perks of living near a major city (restaurants, nightlife, concerts, pro sports) with the Rocky Mountains literally in your backyard. Skiing, hiking, mountain biking, rock climbing…it’s all right there. The community is health-conscious and outdoorsy, which honestly makes a lot of sense when you see the kind of patients who come through the door. They’re educated, they care about their wellness, and they’re willing to invest in it. That makes the clinical work here genuinely rewarding.

Our Core Values

  • Whole-Body Health, Always. We don’t just fix teeth. We treat the whole person. That means no root canal therapy, no amalgam fillings, no metal implants, and a real commitment to helping patients heal from the inside out. Every treatment decision is made with long-term wellness in mind, and you’ll learn to think about dentistry in a way most schools don’t teach.

  • Showtime Mentality  When a patient walks in, they experience a calm, spa-like environment. Behind the scenes, the team is moving with precision and focus. Everyone brings their best energy every day, regardless of what’s going on outside the office. It’s a standard, not a suggestion.

  • Hard Work is the Baseline. This team shows up early and stays late when it matters. If someone needs help, people step in without being asked. Nobody coasts. That might sound intense, but it’s also why the culture feels so solid. When everyone pulls their weight, nobody burns out carrying someone else’s load.

  • Mentorship That Matters: Dr. Popp doesn’t just manage. He teaches. Whether it’s walking you through a complex case, helping you refine your treatment planning, or coaching you on communicating with patients, the mentorship here is real and ongoing. For someone early in their career, this alone is worth the move.

  • Learners Make the Best Leaders  The people who do best here are the ones who stay curious. They ask questions, they want feedback, and they never assume they’ve got it all figured out. If that’s your mindset, you’ll fit right in.

What You’ll Do

  • Deliver high-quality restorative treatments using biologic protocols and materials.

  • Educate patients about their conditions and walk them through treatment plans aligned with our holistic philosophy. You’ll learn how to do this well here, even if you’re still building your confidence.

  • Manage your schedule and stay on time while giving each patient the attention they deserve.

  • Practice in full alignment with our biologic approach: no root canals, no amalgam, no metal.

  • Work alongside Dr. Popp in a mentorship-driven environment to expand your skills in areas such as ceramic implants, regenerative dentistry, and facial esthetics.

Compensation & Benefits

  • $1,200/day guarantee or 33 to 35% of collections, whichever is greater (depending on experience)

  • Generous sign-on bonus

  • CE allowance: 50/50 match, up to $5,000 per year

  • Health and vision insurance

  • 401(k) retirement plan

  • Med-spa perks: IV therapy, ozone treatments, facial services, and more

  • Lab fees split 50/50

  • Flexible schedule: 2 to 4 days per week

  • 100% Fee-for-Service

  • Ownership pathway available for the right long-term fit

Why This Job Stands Out

Let’s be real: most associate positions for new grads pay okay and offer very little else. You get tossed into a high-volume practice, you’re producing from day one with minimal guidance, and you’re doing insurance-driven dentistry that doesn’t leave much room for growth. This is the opposite of that. The pay here is well above market, and because the practice is 100% Fee-for-Service, you’re earning based on the quality of your work, not how many patients you can rush through.

The schedule is flexible. Two to four days a week, built around your life. That kind of flexibility at this compensation level, in a high-producing FFS practice, is genuinely rare. If you want to work four days and maximize your income, you can. If you want to start at two days and ramp up, that’s on the table too.

The culture here is something people notice right away. It’s high-energy and purpose-driven, but it’s also warm. The team actually enjoys being here. They support each other, they hold each other accountable, and they take pride in the work. That matters more than people realize, especially early in your career when the environment you’re in shapes the kind of dentist you become.

And then there’s the mentorship. Dr. Popp has deep expertise in surgical, regenerative, and biologic dentistry. He teaches nationally through Swiss Dental Solutions. Learning directly from someone at that level, on real cases, in a real practice, is the kind of training that would cost you tens of thousands of dollars in CE courses and still wouldn’t be as good. For a new grad or early-career dentist, this is a career accelerator.

Finally, the patients. These aren’t insurance-driven, in-and-out appointments. The patients here are educated, health-conscious, and genuinely invested in their outcomes. They travel from across the country for this level of care. The relationships you’ll build with them will be some of the most meaningful work you do as a dentist.

Who We’re Looking For

Someone who is:

  • A strong communicator (or someone actively working on it) who wants to learn how to educate patients and present treatment plans with confidence. You don’t have to be perfect at this yet. You just have to want to get better.

  • Solid in restorative dentistry fundamentals and committed to doing quality work that lasts. If your patients don’t have to come back because something failed, you’re on the right track.

  • Genuinely interested in biological dentistry, or at least open-minded and curious about it. You don’t need to come in as an expert. You need to come in willing to learn.

  • Reliable. The kind of person your team and patients can count on to follow through, show up on time, and do what they say they’ll do.

  • Growth-minded. You want to get better, expand your skills, and help build something bigger than just your own schedule.

Sound Like a Fit? Let’s Talk.

If you’re early in your career and looking for a place that will actually invest in you, pay you well, give you flexibility, and help you become the kind of dentist you want to be, this is worth a conversation. We’d love to hear from you. Reach out today.
