This position is structured as a Contract/Temporary and 1099 Independent Contractor role, perfectly suited for professionals looking for flexibility and control over their earning potential. This is a fully remote position, allowing you to work from anywhere while connecting with clients to promote solar energy adoption. The role offers unlimited earning possibilities, dictated by your sales success, with no cap on commissions and an additional incentive based on advertising spend.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Generate leads through various marketing strategies and maintain a robust sales pipeline.
  • Conduct virtual and, when necessary, in-person consultations to educate homeowners and businesses on the benefits of solar energy and roofing solutions.
  • Provide tailored proposals and solutions that meet the unique energy needs of each client.
  • Utilize CRM tools and proposal software to track customer interactions, manage information and close sales effectively.
  • Handle customer objections and negotiate contracts to close deals while ensuring a positive customer experience.
  • Maintain knowledge of the latest industry trends, technologies, and regulatory changes that affect solar energy products.
  • Participate in weekly team meetings and training sessions to enhance sales techniques and product knowledge.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to refine advertising strategies that optimize lead generation and customer acquisition.
  • Provide feedback to the product and tech teams to improve the services and tools used for sales and customer engagement.

Requirements

  • Sales Experience: At least 1+ year in solar sales, home improvement, or any commission-based sales role (preferred but not required).
  • Communication Skills: Ability to clearly explain solar benefits, handle objections, and confidently close deals.
  • Self-Motivated & Goal-Oriented: Must be able to generate leads, manage a sales pipeline, and work independently without daily supervision.
  • Tech-Savvy: Comfortable using CRM tools, proposal software, and virtual consultation platforms.
  • Reliable Transportation (If Applicable): For in-person sales meetings or field prospecting.
  • Bilingual (Preferred): Spanish or other languages are a plus for expanding market reach.
  • 1099 Independent Contractor Role: Must be comfortable with a commission-only structure with no base salary, earning based on sales performance.
