Discover Vein and Vascular Center, a leading medical facility specializing in vascular surgery, is thrilled to announce an opening for a dedicated Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) to join our surgical team. This full-time position is based within our state-of-the-art surgical center in Mesa, AZ, where we conduct advanced peripheral angiograms and vein treatments. The role allows for a balanced work schedule, operating over three days a week—Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays—with no scheduled duties on holidays and no on-call responsibilities. Duties and Responsibilities
- Administer anesthesia and anesthesia-related care in preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative periods.
- Provide pain management and consultation in the perioperative setting.
- Monitor patients' vital signs during procedures and make anesthesia-related decisions accordingly.
- Communicate with healthcare professionals to determine the condition of patients before, during, and after anesthesia.
- Ensure accurate documentation of anesthesia services and patient condition.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and adheres to all HIPAA guidelines/regulations.
- Participate in the development and implementation of perioperative care policies and procedures.
- Engage in team meetings and collaborate with other medical staff to facilitate patient care.
- Stay current with new technologies and practices in anesthesia care.
- Train and mentor junior nurses and assist with their professional development.
- Participate in on-going education and professional development to maintain current CRNA certification.
Requirements
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse and Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist in the state of Arizona.
- Graduate of an accredited Nurse Anesthesia Educational Program.
- Ability to handle high-stress situations and make critical care decisions.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with patients, families, and medical staff.
- Strong organizational and time management skills for effective management of perioperative schedules.
- Proficient in using medical software, with preference for candidates experienced in AthenaOne.
- Commitment to continuous professional development and adherence to AANA guidelines.
- Ability to provide compassionate care while maintaining a professional demeanor.
- Experience in vascular surgery practices is preferred but not essential.
- Flexibility to work 34 hours a week from Tuesday to Friday, with no holiday or on-call duties.
