Discover Vein And Vascular Center is excited to announce the availability of a career opportunity for a Vascular Ultrasound Technologist in our dedicated East Valley Vascular practice. We are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to fill this Full-Time position. Please note, this is not a remote job and the selected candidate will be required to work on-site with our team of healthcare professionals.
This role suits a dynamic technologist proficient in performing vascular and other ultrasound examinations, ensuring the quality and consistency of clinical data, and enhancing patient care. Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform vascular ultrasound procedures including but not limited to carotid, venous, arterial (upper and lower extremity), and aorta examinations.
- Assess patients, provide education on the procedure, and ensure comfort and safety at all times.
- Interpret and document ultrasound data, reporting critical findings to physicians promptly.
- Maintain ultrasound equipment, troubleshoot issues, and ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to optimize patient treatment plans based on ultrasound findings.
- Assist in scheduling and confirming appointments, maintaining clear and effective communication with patients.
- Stay updated with the latest technologies and techniques in vascular ultrasound through continued education and professional growth opportunities.
- Ensure the confidentiality and rights of all patient information, adhering to all HIPAA regulations.
- Participate in quality assurance procedures to continually improve the quality and efficiency of ultrasound operations.
Requirements
- Formal Ultrasound Technologist Certification from an accredited institution.
- At least 5 years of experience as a Vascular Ultrasound Technologist.
- Proficiency in performing ELG/Mesenteric, Renal & Dialysis fistula procedures preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of vascular experience, including venous reflux testing.
- Expertise in carotid, arterial (upper & lower extremity) including arterial bypass, venous testing (upper & lower extremity) including venous reflux testing & Aorta examinations (including bypass).
- Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) certification is a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to provide excellent patient care with a customer service mindset for each and every patient.
- Strong work ethic, positive attitude, and ability to multitask effectively within a fast-paced environment.
- Prior experience working in a vascular surgery practice will be advantageous.
