As we expand our team, we are looking for a professional who embodies our principles and is ready to commit to a role that values high academic standards and a commitment to the Christian faith, playing a crucial role in shaping the character and knowledge of our students.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans across math and/or science disciplines tailored to students’ educational and age-specific needs.

  • Assess and evaluate student progress through structured assignments, exams, and interactive educational activities.

  • Engage students in thoughtful discussions to deepen their understanding and critical analysis.

  • Evaluate student progress through both formative and summative assessments.

  • Maintain accurate student records, including attendance and grades.

  • Provide constructive feedback that supports students’ academic and spiritual growth.

  • Maintain classroom management that fosters a respectful and vibrant learning environment.

  • Participate actively in periodic staff meetings and teacher training sessions to ensure consistency and high standards across all levels.

  • Cultivate a classroom atmosphere that is supportive and encouraging, aligning with the school’s mission and values.

  • Instill a love for learning and a respectful classroom environment.

  • Work collaboratively with other staff to promote the overall mission of the school.

  • Communicate effectively with parents and staff regarding students' progress and embodying the school’s commitment to partnership in education.

Requirements

  • Must be a committed Christian, actively living a lifestyle in accordance with the Christian faith and eager to incorporate this perspective into teaching practice.

  • Must hold at least a Bachelor’s degree in Education, Mathematics, Science, or a related field.

  • Prior classroom experience, demonstrating effective teaching and classroom management strategies.

  • Teacher certification is not necessary, but a strong foundational understanding of the subjects to be taught is required.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to respectfully and effectively interact with students, parents, and staff.

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple teaching assignments and administrative responsibilities.

  • Passionate about working with youth and fostering an environment conducive to learning.

Are you ready to be a part of a campus where everyone walks in faith?  Do you want to teach in a classroom where children are respectful and eager to learn?  Veritas Florida might be for you!  Veritas Florida is a University Model program that is Christian, Classical and College Prep.

Veritas Florida is a wonderful blend of classroom experience and homeschooling flexibility. Our college-prep curriculum is based upon the historical timeline with rich literature coinciding with the time period your child studies. We incorporate Socratic seminars, Charlotte Mason methodology, and individualized attention from experienced teachers throughout the 33-week school year. A unique way to describe Veritas Florida is, indeed, 'College for Kids' because our methodology and curriculum prepare students to thrive in college. As a drop-off program, students engage with each other in a classroom setting led by an experienced, Christian teacher who is accessible throughout the week for clarification. Weekly assignment sheets outline academic assignments, and teachers give quizzes and tests, which are graded to show progress. Report cards are provided twice each year. Veritas is truly the perfect blend of parent-guided study with like-minded (and spirited!) teachers.
