As a Dental Patient Care Coordinator, you will be an integral part of our dental practice, managing patient interactions and ensuring that each visit is handled efficiently and with a personal touch. We seek an individual who is passionate about dentistry and wants to make a meaningful impact on our patients' experiences. Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage and schedule patient appointments effectively, ensuring optimal practitioner time while meeting patient needs.
- Provide patients with a warm greeting and ensure that their care begins in a timely and organized manner.
- Maintain accurate patient records, ensuring all treatments, doctor notes, and patient communication are up-to-date and properly filed.
- Handle patient queries face-to-face, over the phone, and via email, providing clear and concise information regarding treatments, procedures, and clinic policies.
- Process payments and handle billing inquiries, demonstrating thorough understanding of various dental insurance plans and options available to patients.
- Collaborate closely with dental professionals and administrative staff to maintain a flow of communication and support throughout all office operations.
- Ensure the reception and patient waiting areas are well-maintained, clean, and organized to provide a welcoming atmosphere.
- Participate in staff meetings and professional development sessions to stay updated with the latest dental practices and administrative procedures.
- Assist in managing office supplies and inventories, ensuring that essential items are always available.
- Uphold the highest standard of privacy and confidentiality by HIPAA regulations.
- Contribute to marketing efforts of the dental office, aiming at community engagement and enhancing patient numbers.
- Implement patient satisfaction surveys and analyze feedback to propose improvements to the service or procedures.
- 7:30 am-5:00 pm Monday-Thursday
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent; further certification in Office Management or a related field is preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a dental or healthcare setting, with proven records in patient care coordination.
- Strong understanding of dental office procedures and terminology.
- Proficient in using Open Dental software and MS Office (especially Excel).
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with an emphasis on patient-centered interactions.
- Demonstrate proactive problem-solving skills.
- Commitment to the highest professional and ethical standards.
- Familiarity with handling and protecting sensitive patient data per HIPAA guidelines.
- A genuine passion for growth in the dental health industry and the ability to handle patient concerns with empathy and professionalism.
