Mount Vernon Smile Design, a leading and innovative dental practice, is excited to announce the availability of a Full-Time position (M-Th 7:30-5:30) for a dedicated Scheduling Coordinator. This pivotal role is based in our bustling office, located in the heart of Mount Vernon. It is important to note that this is not a remote job, requiring a dynamic and organized individual who can handle various administrative tasks with precision and professionalism.

As a Scheduling Coordinator at Mount Vernon Smile Design, you will be afforded the opportunity to work in a supportive and patient-focused environment. Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage and monitor patient appointments to optimize schedules and enhance operational flow.
  • Coordinate with dental staff to ensure seamless communication and timely updates regarding schedule adjustments.
  • Handle incoming calls with professionalism, addressing patient inquiries regarding services, appointments and billing.
  • Update and maintain patient records with accuracy in compliance with privacy regulations and clinic policies.
  • Engage with patients both over the phone and in person to facilitate a welcoming and professional environment.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve patient satisfaction and retention.
  • Assist patients in understanding their treatment plans and associated insurance benefits or payment options.
  • Oversee social media engagement and updates for the clinic, enhancing community interaction and clinic visibility.
  • Continuously seek ways to improve processes and implement best practices in patient management and scheduling.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Scheduling Coordinator or similar administrative role in a dental office.
  • Thorough understanding of dental procedures, terms and insurance processes.
  • Exceptional organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills; comfortable and articulate on the phone and in person.
  • Strong ability to explain treatment options and payment plans clearly to patients.
  • Proficiency in using dental management software and tools for scheduling and record keeping.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of professionalism and confidentiality.
  • Capable of working independently and within a team to meet the clinic’s goals.
  • Solid understanding of social media management and its impact on business growth and patient engagement.
