Salary Range:  $20 - $24 hour

Position: Cheese Salesperson / Cheesemonger Location: Various Farmers' Markets across Michigan, shop located in Grand Rapids 

Duration: Seasonal (May to October) Hours: Part-Time, 1-3 Days per week (Typically Wednesday - Sunday), with Saturdays required 

Compensation: Earn $20-$24+/hr based on performance! Competitive base pay + commission structure

What You’ll Do:

  • Engage & Sell – Bring enthusiasm and energy to connect with customers and drive sales.
  • Independently Manage Your Stall – Set up, maintain, and take down your market stall each day.
  • Cheese Expertise & Storytelling – Learn about our cheeses and educate customers on their flavors, pairings, and origins.
  • Cash Handling & Sales – Process payments, track sales, and ensure accurate transactions.
  • Drive to Different Market Locations – A valid driver’s license and clean record are required.
  • Stay Active! – The job involves standing for long periods and lifting up to 50 pounds.

Schedule & Market Assignments:

  • Each monger will be assigned their own market for the season, helping to build relationships with customers while also providing structure and consistency to their personal schedule.
  • Shifts typically run around 10 hours, including setup, tear-down, and drive time—giving you the opportunity to fully immerse yourself in the energy of Michigan’s farmers' markets. Some markets may have longer or shorter shifts depending on location and activity level.
