Job Title: HVAC Service Technician (Residential Maintenance & Repair)
Location: Richardson, TX
Pay: $25–$30 per hour (based on experience)
Schedule: Full-Time | Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Position Overview

Energy Attic is hiring an experienced Residential HVAC Technician with 3+ years of hands-on experience in maintenance, service, and repair. This role is ideal for a technician who can independently diagnose and resolve HVAC issues while delivering excellent customer service in residential environments.

Key Responsibilities

HVAC Maintenance & Service

• Perform routine preventative maintenance on residential HVAC systems

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair heating and cooling systems

• Complete seasonal system changeovers (heating ↔ cooling)

• Evaluate system performance and recommend repairs or replacements

Installation & Support

• Assist with HVAC system installations and ductwork as needed

• Support senior technicians on complex service calls or installs

• Mentor helpers or junior technicians when applicable

Tools, Inventory & Communication

• Maintain service vehicle, tools, and job materials

• Track and restock inventory as needed

• Communicate clearly with dispatch and office staff regarding job updates, parts, and timelines

Qualifications

• 3+ years of residential HVAC experience (required)

• Strong ability to independently handle service and maintenance calls

• EPA Certification (preferred or ability to obtain)

• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record

• Experience with HVAC diagnostic tools and service software

• Excellent communication and customer service skills

Preferred Skills

• Experience with ServiceTitan or similar HVAC CRM software

• Familiarity with attic-based HVAC systems and ductwork

• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities

Work Environment

• Residential service work in attics, crawl spaces, and rooftops

• Exposure to heat, cold, dust, and insulation

• Must be able to lift 50+ lbs and work in physically demanding conditions

• Occasional overtime, evenings, or weekends as needed
