Position: HVAC Technician (Maintenance & Service)  
Location: Richardson, TX 
Salary: $25-$30/hr based on experience

Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00am-5pm 
Start Date: ASAP

Summary: Energy Attic is seeking a skilled Residential HVAC Technician to join our team. This position requires the ability to perform routine maintenance on residential HVAC systems and ideally, handle service and repair work independently. The right candidate will be experienced, dependable, and ready to make an immediate impact in a high-integrity, people-first company.

Major Duties & Essential Functions

Maintenance & Service Work

• Perform routine preventive maintenance on HVAC systems in residential homes

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC issues as needed.

• Transition HVAC systems between heating and cooling seasons.

• Evaluate system performance and recommend improvements or replacements.

Installation & Support

• Assist with new HVAC system installs and ductwork as needed.

• Support team leads with complex installations or repairs.

• Provide guidance to junior team members or helpers when applicable.

Inventory & Job Readiness

• Ensure proper tools and materials are available for daily work.

• Maintain inventory and restock supplies as needed.

• Communicate with the office team regarding parts, timelines, and job updates.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years of hands-on HVAC experience (residential preferred)

• Ability to work independently on maintenance and basic service calls

• EPA certification preferred (or ability to obtain)

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record

• Comfortable using diagnostic tools and HVAC service software

• Strong communication and customer service skills

Preferred Experience

• Familiarity with Service Titan (not required but a plus)

• Experience with attic-based HVAC work

Working Conditions

• Primarily residential work in attic spaces, roofs, and crawl spaces

• Exposure to hot/cold temperatures, dust, insulation, and other physical demands

• Must be able to lift 50 lbs and work in physically demanding environments

• Occasional after-hours or weekend availability may be requested
