Position Overview

The Public Relations Assistant supports outreach campaigns, community events, and public communication efforts. You will help strengthen relationships with community members, enhance brand reputation, and ensure consistent messaging across platforms.

This is an entry-level public relations position with paid training and opportunities for professional growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in planning, coordinating, and executing community events, outreach programs, and public engagement initiatives

  • Represent the organization at local events by greeting attendees, sharing information, and collecting feedback

  • Collaborate with internal teams to maintain consistent messaging across social media, newsletters, and promotional materials

  • Support post-event follow-ups, including contact database updates, reporting, and data tracking

  • Contribute to community engagement strategies that strengthen public trust and brand reputation

  • Help develop outreach materials, press support content, and internal communications

Qualifications

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
