Dental Hygiene Assistant (Hygiene Department)

Location: Scottsdale, AZ 

Schedule: Monday–Thursday

We are seeking a dependable and motivated Dental Hygiene Assistant dedicated to our Hygiene Department. This role supports our hygienists in preventive care, periodontal maintenance, and hygiene schedule coordination.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist hygienists during preventive and periodontal procedures
• Take digital X-rays for hygiene appointments
• Support perio charting and documentation
• Prepare rooms specifically for hygiene procedures
• Manage hygiene recall communication and patient follow-ups
• Help maintain an efficient hygiene schedule flow
• Educate patients on home care and periodontal maintenance
• Ensure sterilization and infection control compliance within hygiene operatories
• Maintain hygiene instruments and equipment

Requirements:

• Current Arizona X-Ray Certification
• Prior experience assisting in a dental hygiene or preventive care setting preferred
• Familiarity with Dentrix 
• Strong organizational skills and ability to keep hygiene appointments on schedule
• Excellent communication skills with patients regarding preventive care
