Lifetime Dentistry is excited to announce an opening for a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our growing team. Located at our physical offices, this role requires the successful candidate to be present onsite, as it is not eligible for remote work. The successful applicant will be instrumental in assisting with various dental procedures, ensuring patient comfort, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment. Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assists doctor chairside with procedures.
  • Take radiographs.
  • Assist with prophy appointments.
  • Assist with impression taking as needed.
  • Shade match patients for doctor as requested.
  • Assist with orthodontic procedures.
  • Thoroughly clean and disinfect treatment rooms after procedures are completed.
  • Have patient sign treatment and consent forms where needed.
  • Explain treatment to patients and answer questions.
  • Adhere to standard HIPPA, OSHA, and infection control protocols.
  • Enter treatment plans and update them when needed.
  • Update charts and health histories: i.e., tooth charts, perio charts.
  • Wear appropriate personal protective equipment.
  • Escort patients to and from the treatment rooms, providing exceptional customer service.
  • Close treatment rooms for the day using check-off sheets 
  • Deep clean all rooms, lab, and sterilization area floors, cabinets, and drawers. Dust and vacuum patient areas as needed.
  • Answer telephone as needed.
  • Do laundry and put away.
  • Take inventory in all drawers, supply closet, and treatment rooms, pull supply tags and order supplies.
  • Watch educational videos as assigned by the office manager.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Dental Assistant; certification as a Dental Assistant preferred.
  • Familiarity with dental instruments and sterilization methods.
  • Understanding of health & safety regulations.
  • Ability to perform regulated non-surgical tasks like taking radiographs.
  • Good computer skills for maintaining electronic health records and scheduling software.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients and team members.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • High degree of attention to detail to ensure accuracy in all tasks.
  • Ability to work long hours often under pressure.
  • Good physical condition and stamina to perform tasks requiring physical exertion.
  • Completion of dental assistant licensing program required by the state board.
  • Current CPR certification.
