Lifetime Dentistry, a leading provider of comprehensive dental services, is excited to announce the opening for a full-time Dental Hygienist at our esteemed clinic. This is a non-remote role that requires the Dental Hygienist to be present at our facilities to effectively carry out their duties.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Conduct initial dental assessments and evaluate patient oral health history.
  • Perform dental prophylaxis, scaling, root planing, and preventive treatments as required.
  • Apply sealants, administer fluorides, and other cavity-preventing agents.
  • Take, develop, and mount radiographs as well as manage infection control protocols.
  • Educate patients on proper oral hygiene strategies, including but not limited to brushing, flossing, and nutritional counseling.
  • Assess the need for and provide patient education on oral hygiene products, such as electronic toothbrushes or therapeutic mouth rinses.
  • Generate treatment plans under the supervision of the dentist to address patient-specific oral health issues.
  • Document patient care and maintain accurate and up-to-date health records.
  • Monitor the progress of treatments and adapt interventions as needed.
  • Maintain a clean and well-organized work environment that adheres to safety and health regulations.
  • Participate in continuing education, staff meetings, and other professional development activities.
  • Collaborate with dentists and other team members to provide comprehensive dental care.

Requirements

  • Associate degree or higher in Dental Hygiene from an accredited program.
  • Current dental hygienist license in the state of practice.
  • Local Anesthesia license.
  • Certification in CPR and other necessary healthcare provider courses.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle dental instruments and equipment.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with patients, team members, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Committed to adhering to the highest standards of ethics and professionalism.
  • Proven experience in digital radiography and patient management software.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent diagnostic and clinical judgment capabilities.
  • A positive attitude and an eagerness to continually improve and learn new skills.
  • Availability to work according to the clinic's operational hours.
