We are seeking a cost-conscious, hands-on Location Manager to lead our Tulsa facility with a sharp focus on efficiency, resource optimization, and fiscal responsibility.
Position Overview
As the Tulsa Location Manager, you will be responsible for driving cost-effective day-to-day operations while upholding quality and safety standards. This leadership role emphasizes lean manufacturing practices, maximizing productivity, minimizing waste, and continuously identifying opportunities for operational savings.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead daily operations of the Tulsa facility with a strong focus on cost control, productivity, and lean process execution.
- Supervise and schedule plant employees, promoting accountability, performance, and cost awareness.
- Plan and maintain production schedules that optimize labor, material use, and minimize downtime.
- Track and manage inventory levels of raw materials and finished goods; verify receipts and ensure proper tagging to prevent overstocking or shortages.
- Manage inbound and outbound shipments, leveraging UPS/FedEx systems while minimizing shipping errors and costs.
- Communicate production metrics, staffing needs, and logistics updates to the Head Office using Microsoft Teams and email.
- Monitor and improve operational workflow, eliminating inefficiencies and bottlenecks to support on-time, cost-effective delivery.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe facility, reducing risks and operational disruptions.
- Open and close the facility with full responsibility for operational readiness and cost-conscious management of utilities and resources.
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent hands-on experience in business, manufacturing, or shop operations.
- Minimum 5 years in facility or operations management, ideally in a manufacturing setting.
- Proven leadership experience with a demonstrated ability to manage teams and control operational costs.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to align staff and communicate priorities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and MS Teams.
- Solid organizational skills with an ability to prioritize, multitask, and meet deadlines efficiently.
- Experience in UPS/FedEx shipping systems.
- Practical knowledge of production workflow and lean manufacturing principles.
- Reliable, self-driven, and results-focused with sound decision-making abilities.
Preferred:
- Background in CNC machine shop or industrial manufacturing.
- Familiar with raw material receiving and inventory tracking systems.
- Ability to interpret production documents and schedules.
- Proven track record of identifying cost-saving opportunities without sacrificing quality.
