Fall Internship for Sustainability Services Specialist - LEED

Salary Range:  $15 - $18 hour

Our company, Carbon Solutions Group (CSG), is seeking a motivated and curious Sustainability Services Intern to join our Corporate Sustainability team. This internship will focus on supporting our work with LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) and other sustainability standards.

This is a valuable opportunity for a student or early-career professional to gain hands-on experience in renewable energy markets, green building certifications, and corporate sustainability. As an intern, you will support our established LEED desk and collaborate with internal teams on client projects, research, and workflow development.

Key Responsibilities (with training and mentorship provided):

  • Market Research & Analysis

    • Learn and assist in understanding LEED technical guidance and credit requirements

    • Research global sustainability market trends and opportunities

    • Support updates on new versions of sustainability standards

  • Client & Project Support

    • Assist with preparing client-facing materials, quotes, and presentations

    • Support project tracking for clients pursuing LEED points and related certifications

    • Help coordinate workflow between internal teams and clients

  • Sales & Marketing Assistance

    • Contribute to the development of marketing collateral and campaigns

    • Provide research support for business development and partnership opportunities

    • Assist in preparing materials for conferences and events

  • Administrative & Workflow Support

    • Help streamline internal processes and maintain documentation

    • Gain exposure to renewable energy certificate (REC) and carbon offset sales processes

Qualifications:

  • Current student in sustainability, environmental studies, business, engineering, or related field

  • Interest in green building standards, renewable energy, or corporate sustainability

  • Strong organizational and communication skills

  • Proficiency in Google Workspace and/or Microsoft Office

  • Prior exposure to LEED, RECs/carbon offsets, or environmental standards is a plus, but not required
