Position:
Part-Time Facility Maintenance Technician for wholesale greenhouse facility. Duties include facility, equipment, and grounds maintenance and repairs. 20 – 30 hours per week, which can vary with workload.
Pay: $20/hr
Hours: Monday-Friday, 7:30am-noon
Qualifications:
Must be 21 Years of age or older
Must have a driver's license with good MVR–must provide a certified driving record
Experience with towing and hooking up trailers is a plus
Reliable transportation required
Forklift experience is helpful but not required
Willingness to work flexible hours
Minimum of 2 years experience
Previous experience in plumbing, electrical (3 phase), and general construction
Experience in welding, mechanical and HVAC is a plus
Requirements:
Experience in general plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and construction.
Perform essential preventative maintenance and repairs on machines, equipment, and building.
Perform basic electrical, plumbing, and other construction and building functions.
Promote a safe work environment and abide by company SOP and safety policies.
Ability to work indoors and outdoors in extreme seasonal temperatures.
Maintain clean and orderly work areas.
Maintain inventory of parts, supplies, and maintenance tools/equipment.
Must be available to respond quickly in an emergency, notify appropriate staff and follow all safety protocols.
Physical Requirements:
Work involves frequently standing, walking, bending, reaching, crouching for extended periods
Pushing, pulling, and frequent carrying and lifting up to 35 lbs on regular basis (When lifting an object 75 lbs or more, individual is expected to ask for assistance)
Need to be comfortable with heights, tight spaces, and working outdoors in year-round weather conditions
Ability to climb stairs and ladders
Must be able to talk, listen, and speak clearly with customers
Must be able to work with and mix chemicals for pest control applications
Exposure to possible allergens (pets, bees, etc.)
Frequent exposure to communicable disease, bodily fluids, toxic substances, medicinal preparations, radiation and other conditions common to a clinical environment
Determine the distance between objects
See differences between colors, shades, and brightness
Focus on one source of sound and ignore others
Must be able to read, decipher and understand blueprints, and varying colors to identify appropriate wires and coding
Must be able to use hands with fine motor skills in the use of industry-specific tools
Must be willing to learn and safely use a torch to braze refrigeration line-sets
Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards
Ability to use telephones, computer terminals and copiers
