We are seeking a Dental Assistant to join our team. Our ideal candidate will have a passion for dentistry and be knowledgeable in the latest dental techniques and procedures. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting the dentist during procedures, sterilizing instruments, taking patient X-rays, lab tasks, as well as other responsibilities outlined below. Whether it is direct patient care or administrative support, our Dental Assistant will ensure all dental office regulations are adhered to and our office procedures are followed seamlessly, while creating a positive experience for our patients and working cohesively with our amazing team.
Previous experience with Dentrix Ascend is a huge plus.
Responsibilities:
Welcome patients to the dental office
Prepare patients for treatments or checkups, ensuring their comfort
Select and set up instruments, equipment, and material needed
Sterilize instruments according to regulations
Assist the dentist through 4-handed dentistry
Take radiographs including CBCTs
Undertake lab tasks as instructed
Provide oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions
Keep the dental room clean and well-stocked
Schedule appointments
Maintain accurate patient records and assist with payment procedures
Skills:
Proven experience as dental assistant
Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods
Understanding of health and safety regulations
Sufficient computer skills, excellent communication and people skills
Attention to detail
Well-organized and reliable
Experience: NJ dental assisting — 3 years (required)
License/Certification: NJ Dental Radiology License (required), Registered Dental Assistant certification (preferred)

Compensation: $27-33 per hour, commensurate with experience and certification level
Schedule: Monday 8:45 am to 5 pm (lunch 1-2 pm), Tuesday/Thursday 845 am to 6 pm (lunch 1-2 pm), Wednesday/Friday 8:45 am to 1:00/2:00 pm
