We are seeking a motivated and experienced Assistant Manager to join our leadership team at Açaí Republic Chandler. The ideal candidate will have previous supervisory experience in the restaurant industry and a strong background in operations, customer service, team scheduling, and local B2B relationship building.
As an Assistant Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring smooth day-to-day operations, leading by example, and supporting the General Manager in achieving sales goals, maintaining high standards, and delivering exceptional guest experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead by example: Inspire and support team members to deliver outstanding customer service with positivity, urgency, and professionalism.
- Operations management: Oversee daily store operations, including opening/closing duties, inventory management, cleanliness, and food safety compliance.
- Team supervision & scheduling: Assist in hiring, training, scheduling, and developing team members to ensure proper coverage and efficient shift execution.
- Customer service excellence: Resolve customer concerns effectively and ensure a consistently high-quality experience for all guests.
- Sales growth: Support promotional campaigns, upsell menu items, and foster a results-driven culture.
- B2B engagement: Build and maintain relationships with local businesses, schools, and community organizations to drive catering, fundraisers, and brand visibility.
- Problem solving: Address day-to-day challenges with a solution-oriented mindset and escalate concerns to the General Manager when necessary.
Requirements:
- Experience: 1 year of leadership experience in the restaurant, café, or hospitality industry.
- Customer-first mindset: Passion for delivering an exceptional guest experience and cultivating a friendly store atmosphere.
- Organized & detail-oriented: Able to multitask, prioritize responsibilities, and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Tech-savvy: Comfortable using POS systems, scheduling platforms, and basic reporting tools.
- Food safety: Understanding of food handling and sanitation standards; ServSafe certification is a plus.
- Availability: Flexible schedule with availability on weekends and holidays as needed.
