Ryan Auto Mall is excited to announce an opening for a Service Advisor position at our well-established automotive service center. This full-time role provides an enthusiastic professional with the opportunity to build a rewarding career in automotive service management. Our Service Advisors are pivotal to maintaining our reputation for top-notch customer service and automotive care. This is an onsite position and is not eligible for remote work.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Greet customers promptly and collect necessary vehicle information whilst maintaining a high level of service.
- Act as the primary point of contact between the customer and the service technicians; relay information accurately and efficiently to avoid misunderstandings.
- Assess customer concerns and provide logical and reasonable explanations, solutions, or alternatives as needed; involve customers in understanding their vehicle’s problems through simplified technical explanations.
- Communicate with technicians about vehicle statuses, and ensure all service requirements are understood and followed through.
- Provide estimates for labor and parts, negotiate with customers and finalize the details of the services to be carried out.
- Follow up with customers on the status of their vehicle, keeping them well informed throughout the repair or maintenance process.
- Schedule and manage service appointments, ensuring a fluid service timeline and maximized workshop efficiency.
- Process paperwork related to each service job and maintain detailed records of customer interactions, vehicle issues, and repair or maintenance services provided.
- Handle customer complaints with professionalism and resolve their issues in a manner that enhances customer satisfaction.
- Stay updated on the latest automotive technology and service methods, and regularly participate in educational workshops to enhance personal knowledge and skills.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an automotive service advisor or similar role in automotive service management.
- Strong understanding of automotive technology and the auto service industry.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills; ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- High level of organizational skills, attention to detail, and precision.
- Familiarity with service scheduling software and diagnostic tools.
- Capability to establish good relationships with customers and coworkers.
- High school diploma required; further education or certification in automotive service is highly preferred.
- Enthusiasm for ongoing learning and attending training sessions to stay current with industry trends and techniques.
- Legal right to work in the location where the dealership operates.
