Not a Remote Job, this position is based at our local facility where you will contribute directly to enhancing our vehicle inventory's aesthetic appeal and customer satisfaction levels.

As a Detailer at Ryan Auto Mall, you will be working in a fast-paced environment requiring attention to detail and precision. You will play a crucial role in preparing vehicles for showroom display, customer delivery, and ensuring high standards of cleanliness and presentation. The ideal candidate will be someone passionate about automotive care, who thrives in hands-on work and possesses an eye for detail.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Thoroughly clean and detail vehicles, both interior and exterior, to the highest standards.
• Perform various detailing activities, including washing, waxing, polishing, and vacuuming.
• Inspect cars for cleanliness and damage, ensuring any issues are reported to the supervisor.
• Utilize appropriate cleaning agents and products, as well as protective clothing when required.
• Operate a range of tools and equipment such as buffers, steamers, and vacuums to enhance vehicle appearance effectively.
• Remove dirt, grease, and grime from vehicle interiors using special shampooers and upholstery cleaners.
• Carefully buff bodywork, remove any scratches, and ensure a smooth surface and finish.
• Apply waxes and sealants to protect the vehicle's paintwork from environmental damage.
• Responsible for the maintenance of detailing equipment, reporting any malfunctions or supply needs.
• Remove stickers, decals, or protective coverings from new arrivals or as part of the prep process before sale or display.
• Adhere to all company policies and procedures related to safety and quality standards.
• Work closely with other team members and departments to ensure workflow efficiency and customer satisfaction.
• Stay up-to-date with new techniques and products in vehicle detailing through regular training and research.
• Prepare and maintain detailed reports on the detailing process, including treatments used and areas of concern.
• Ensure compliance with ethical environmental practices related to disposal of cleaning solvents and waste.

Job Requirements

• Proven experience or specific training in vehicle detailing, maintenance, or a related field.
• Skilled in the use of detailing equipment including buffers, polishers, and steam cleaning devices.
• Exceptional attention to detail and a keen eye for aesthetic imperfections.
• Strong understanding of cleaning chemicals and the proper handling of hazardous materials.
• Physical agility and stamina to perform manual tasks and stand for extended periods.
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently with minimal supervision.
• High school diploma or equivalent; relevant certifications in auto detailing are preferred.
• Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with team members and report effectively on job progress.
• Willingness to work in various weather conditions and adapt to changing schedules.
• Basic computer skills for maintaining a digital record of inventory and service logs.
