Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Dental Hygienist to join our team. As a Dental Hygienist, you will be crucial in providing quality dental care to our patients. Your primary responsibility will be to help manage our patients' periodontal and general dental needs through collaboration with the doctors for optimal care. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and a passion for oral health.

Duties:

- Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling, root planing, and polishing

- Take and manage x-rays

- Conduct oral cancer screenings

- Administer local anesthesia as directed by the dentist

- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and provide personalized oral care instructions

- Assist the dentist during procedures by handing instruments, suctioning, and providing support as needed

- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records using electronic dental software (Eaglesoft)

- Follow strict infection control protocols and maintain aseptic technique throughout all procedures

- Adhere to HIPAA regulations to ensure patient privacy and confidentiality

Qualifications:

- Valid state dental hygiene license

- Graduation from an accredited dental hygiene program

- Proficiency in using dental software (Eaglesoft) for medical documentation

- Knowledge of dental assisting techniques and procedures

- Familiarity with medical imaging equipment for capturing dental x-rays

- Ability to accurately record vital signs and patient information

- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients of all ages

- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records

- Knowledge of CAD/CAM technology is a plus
