Patient Services Specialist – Hybrid Role
Department: Front Office | Reports to: Patient Services Manager

We’re seeking a Patient Services Specialist to join our team in a hybrid role—primarily focused on in-person check-in/out duties, with occasional phone coverage as needed. This role is key in creating a welcoming, efficient front desk experience and supporting overall patient satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet and assist patients at check-in and check-out

  • Verify insurance and collect co-pays/balances

  • Schedule appointments and maintain accurate records

  • Occasionally provide phone coverage: triage calls, schedule, and assist patients

Qualifications:

  • Medical office or ophthalmology experience preferred

  • Strong communication, organization, and customer service skills

  • Familiarity with EMRs, Microsoft Office, and multi-line phone systems

  • Some college or degree preferred
