Position Overview:
As an Ophthalmic Technician, you will:
✔️ Conduct preliminary eye exams and patient screenings.
✔️ Clearly communicate eye health information and care instructions to patients.
✔️ Administer topical medications and assist with in-office surgical and laser procedures.
✔️ Triage acute patient concerns over the phone and help manage timely scheduling.
✔️ Ensure accurate documentation and maintain patient confidentiality.
Qualifications:
✅ Minimum of 1 year experience as an ophthalmic or optometric technician or in a clinical setting (preferred).
✅ Proficiency with Electronic Medical Records (EMR).
✅ Certified Ophthalmic Assistant (COA) certification is a plus — or the willingness to obtain within 18 months of hire.
✅ Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.
✅ Ability to work collaboratively as part of a professional medical team.
