Job Opening: Part-Time Maintenance Technician
Location: Linwood, KS
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM – 12:00 PM (20–30 hours/week, flexible based on workload)
Position Summary
We are thrilled to announce an opportunity for a skilled Part-Time Maintenance Technician at our Linwood, KS facility. This position is designed for those who are mechanically inclined and demonstrate a reliable work ethic. It is a hands-on role requiring attention to detail and a proactive approach to handling facility, equipment, and grounds maintenance. Please note that this is a in-person position and does not offer remote work options.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventative maintenance and repair on facility systems, equipment, and machinery.
- Troubleshoot and perform basic repairs including plumbing, electrical (including 3-phase), and HVAC tasks.
- Conduct general building and structural repairs to ensure facility integrity.
- Maintain a regular inventory of tools, supplies, and equipment.
- Adhere strictly to safety procedures and company standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Keep the work environment clean and organized to promote productivity.
- Assist in groundskeeping and external facility upkeep to maintain appearance and safety.
- Respond promptly to urgent repair needs or emergencies to minimize downtime.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in maintenance involving facilities, mechanics, electrical systems, or construction.
- Possession of a valid driver’s license and a clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).
- Must have reliable transportation to and from the workplace.
- Experience in operating a forklift is considered an advantage.
- Advanced skills in welding, mechanical repairs, and HVAC highly desirable.
- Experience in towing trailers is beneficial.
- Candidates must be 21 years old or older for insurance purposes.
- Physical capability to lift up to 35 lbs frequently and request assistance when lifting over 75 lbs.
- Comfortable working at heights, using ladders, and maneuvering in tight spaces.
- Able to stand, walk, bend, and crouch frequently during shifts.
- Able to work in all weather conditions, reflecting seasonal variation.
- Ability to climb stairs and ladders, use various hand tools, and perform tasks requiring fine motor skills.
- Potential exposure to chemicals, allergens, and various outdoor elements, with required safety measures in place.
- Ability to read and understand blueprints, wiring diagrams, and color-coded wires.
- Effective communication skills necessary to comprehend and follow safety instructions and other procedural directives.
