Hot Tub Service & Repair Technician

Job Description

We are a family-owned local company who has been in business for over 50 years! We have two store locations: one in downtown Santa Barbara and one in Old Town Goleta. We are the exclusive authorized dealer of several luxury acrylic spa lines and are well known for designing and assembling decades of custom wooden hot tubs, still made right here at our downtown store.

As a Hot Tub Service & Repair Technician, you will play a vital role within our company.  You'll be responsible for diagnosing and repairing various issues with hot tubs, ensuring they operate efficiently and effectively for our customers.  We are looking for someone with a strong drive and ability to manage your time.  We are interested in those who are proficient with tools and enjoy working outdoors in a hands-on environment.

Experience in the hot tub, pool, and spa industry is ideal but not required, and those with familiarity in related areas such as electrical, plumbing and HVAC are encouraged to apply.  Ultimately, this candidate will be well trained and work with our other technicians until ready to branch out on their own.

Our company is committed to providing Santa Barbara and its surrounding areas with the highest possible level of quality care and effective repairs as possible. Additionally, we strive to provide an enjoyable, professional, and exceptional experience for our customers.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Cleaning and Sanitization:  Thoroughly clean and sanitize hot tub surfaces, covers, and surrounding areas to maintain a hygienic environment and prevent the growth of bacteria and algae.
  • Filter Maintenance:  Clean and replace hot tub filters as needed to ensure efficient filtration and water circulation.
  • Record-Keeping:  Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, water quality test results, and inventory of supplies to track maintenance schedules and ensure adequate stock levels.
  • Customer Service:  Interact professionally with owners to address any concerns or inquiries regarding hot tub maintenance and ensure their satisfaction with their spa experience.

Requirements

  • Technical Skills:  Proficiency in the inspection, troubleshooting, diagnosis, repairs and replacement of hot tub equipment and systems. This includes familiarity with all mechanical, electrical, and plumbing components.

  • Attention to Detail:  Strong attention to detail to ensure thorough cleaning and maintenance of hot tubs and surrounding areas.
  • Problem-Solving:  Ability to identify issues, analyze problems, and implement effective solutions independently or collaboratively.
  • Communication:  Excellent communication skills to interact professionally with guests, coworkers, and management.
  • Physical Ability:  Often required to perform physical tasks such as lifting equipment, bending, standing or crouching for extended periods.
  • Experience:  Previous experience in pool and spa industry or a related field is preferred, but not required. Must be mechanically inclined and experienced with tools.
