We are seeking a dedicated, energetic, friendly and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice who is also a motivated, self-starter! The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality dental care to our patients, ensuring their comfort and satisfaction. As a Dental Hygienist, you will play a crucial role in promoting oral health and educating patients about proper dental hygiene practices as well as being a team leader within the practice.
Duties
- Perform thorough dental cleanings and examinations to assess patients' oral & periodontal health.
- Perform periodontal procedures with the use of ultrasonic and manual instrumentation as well as adjunct procedures such as scaling and root planning, irrigation, fluoride application and the promotion of home-care devices.
- Utilize aseptic techniques to maintain a sterile environment during procedures.
- Take high quality x-rays to assist in diagnosis & education.
- Record vital signs and maintain accurate patient records using Dentrix software.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, including brushing, flossing, and dietary recommendations.
- Use prophy jet as requested.
- Collaborate with the dental team to ensure efficient patient flow and high-quality care.
- Stay updated on advancements in dental hygiene practices and technologies.
- During down time, stock room, sharpen instruments and work on recall.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of anatomy, dental terminology, and medical/dental terminology is essential.
- Proficiency in aseptic techniques and systems used in dental practices.
- Certification for local anesthetic administration is required.
- Experience with Dentrix software.
- Proficiency in taking vital signs and understanding medical imaging processes.
- Strong communication skills to effectively educate patients about their oral health and to efficiently integrate into our dental team.
- Previous experience in customer service and/or hospitality is a plus.

Schedule:
- Mondays and Tuesdays – 8:45 am to 6:15pm
- Thursdays – 6:45am to 4:15pm
- Wednesdays - are a possibility
Experience:
- Dental Hygiene: We are open to new graduates
- Dentrix: 1 year (Preferred)
License/Certification:
- Local Anesthesia Certification (Required)
